Chordophony

Chordophony normally performs as a quartet; however, programmes of lute duets or trios are available for festivals with limited space or budgets, and we will shortly be developing a programme including a singer. Our constantly expanding repertory includes British and continental music from c.1550 - c.1650, using our unique family of lutes, sometimes together with renaissance guitar, bandora or theorbo. We can devise programmes for any format of concert, festival theme or educational workshop. Fees vary, depending on the number of players, distance, and whether a concert is an isolated event or can form part of a tour: however, a guide fee for a full evening concert would be £300 per player plus expenses.
